Oversee daily production operations for heat exchanger manufacturing, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality control, procurement) to ensure smooth production flow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
- Ensure the manufacturing process adheres to strict quality standards and specifications for heat exchangers.
- Prepare and review production reports, highlighting quality metrics and production performance.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and process bottlenecks.
- Implement corrective actions and root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
- Ensure safety procedures and protocols are followed during manufacturing.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and regulations.
- Conduct safety training for production staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Supervise and train production staff, ensuring they have necessary skills and knowledge.
- Foster a collaborative team environment to achieve production goals.
- Monitor and review staff performance, providing coaching and feedback.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, DME, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in manufacturing processes or production management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 4-7 years of experience in a production engineering role, preferably in heat exchanger or similar manufacturing industries.
- Proven experience in managing manufacturing processes, including quality control and process optimization.
- Familiarity with heat exchanger design, manufacturing methods, and materials.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of production techniques, lean manufacturing principles, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
