Job description

Our client is a reputed manufacturing operations facility in Sharjah. They are looking to hire a Production Chemist (Shift chemist) for their factory / manufacturing plant based in Sharjah. An applicant who will be responsible for carrying out all the quality checks and material specification for their Dry Mortar application manufacturing plant in Sharjah.

Your responsibilities for this role will include :

1. Responsible for the quality on daily production of concrete blocks, paving blocks, kerb stones, paving tiles, and Dry Mix mortar (Plasters, Mortars, Tile Adhesives, etc.)
2. Preparing the quality check list for daily production basis.
3. Conducting product tests such as Compression test, Flexural test, Abrasion test, Pull off Test, Air Entertainment test, etc.
4. Conducting raw material tests such as sieve analysis, Elongation & Flakiness Index, etc.
5. Conducting external tests for the products to get project approvals.
6. Attending auditing of Dubai Municipality for the DCL product registration/approval.
7. Preparing compliance statements and material checklists for contractors.
8. Preparing test certificates for the products depending on client requirements.
9. Providing mix design for the production team and ensuring that product finishing and moisture content meet standards.
10. Arranging samples for customers based on the sales team's requests.
11. Facilitating smooth execution of projects by attending regular progress meetings with clients and visiting construction sites.
12. Advising the sales team on material quotations for projects as per given specifications.
13. Developing and designing new materials as per client requirements.
14. Maintaining health and safety records and conducting inspections for housekeeping as per HSE policy.
