Job Summary
The Product Specialist is responsible for promoting and driving the sales of assigned products by engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key stakeholders. This role involves developing a deep understanding of the product, conducting market analysis, educating customers, and ensuring sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Promote and sell assigned products to healthcare professionals (HCPs), including doctors, pharmacists, and key decision-makers.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively communicating the product's benefits and features.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to enhance product visibility and sales performance.
- Conduct regular visits to assigned territories, ensuring optimal coverage of HCPs and key accounts.
- Product Knowledge & Training:
- Stay updated on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Provide product training and educational support to HCPs, sales teams, and distribution partners.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with in-depth product knowledge.
- Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that enhance market penetration.
- Provide feedback to the management team regarding customer preferences, competitor positioning, and potential growth areas.
- Promotional Activities & Events:
- Participate in medical conferences, product launches, and promotional events.
- Organize and conduct educational workshops, CME sessions, and scientific meetings for HCPs.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to execute product campaigns and promotional activities.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales performance, and market insights.
- Submit regular reports on sales progress, territory coverage, and customer feedback.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a similar role promoting CNS product is a must.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry with exposure to product promotion.
