As our Product Owner – AI, IOT & Data Platform, you are end-to-end responsible for all our data related platforms. Your role will involve strategic planning, functional team leadership, and crossfunctional collaboration to drive operational excellence and innovation. Some of the key topics will be to stay on top of the fast-evolving AI and data market, to understand and optimise data at scale, and to enable data sharing across organisations to unlock digital revenue streams. You will be responsible for the multi-year product vision that maximises current and future business value across all areas of the organisation. You will then incrementally turn this vision into reality by maintaining and prioritising a product backlog. With an interdisciplinary team of technical experts and customer representatives, you will ensure that new product releases deliver value on time, on cost, and on quality. Your deep understanding of the technology and industry, as well as close relationships with key stakeholders will be key to ensure that the team’s effort stays aligned with the overall vision.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for AI, IoT, and data platform initiatives.
  • Align project goals with business objectives and ensure they deliver value to the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, data scientists, and engineers.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI, IoT, and data platform projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in AI, IoT, and data platforms.
  • Recommend and implement new tools, platforms, and best practices.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and other teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor the performance of AI, IoT, and data platform solutions.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal operation.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect data and infrastructure.
  • Manage budgets for AI, IoT, and data platform projects.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and control costs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Implement feedback from stakeholders and incorporate lessons learned from past projects.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of solutions, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders.
Authority / Decision Making
  • Key decisions having significant impact on the department are referred to the reporting manager for approval before implementation.
  • Authorize and prioritize AI, IoT, and data platform projects based on business needs and resource availability.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices for AI, IoT, and data platform projects.
  • Job holder exercises financial authority as per the level established by the company board and stipulated in the authority matrix.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a university accredited by UAE authorities.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on AI, IoT, and data platforms.
  • Good experience profile leading agile projects as a product owner and as a scrum master.
  • Formal project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management or equivalent.
  • Proven understanding of project management techniques in an agile environment.
  • Excellent project coordinator that can plan 2-3 steps ahead of the team and surface hidden risks 2-3 levels deep within the team.
  • Excellent knowledge on tracking and analytics setup.
  • Proficient with drawing storyboards, creating wireframes, creating / ‘grooming’ product backlogs, writing user stories and developing acceptance criteria. EGA HUMAN CAPITAL PROCEDURE
  • Relentless prioritization and alignment with business and IT stakeholders to ensure highest value capture.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior client business and IT executives on transforming towards agile.
  • Ability to move between strategic discussions with senior business leaders to tackle on the ground agile coaching with teams.
  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse change portfolio with concurrent initiatives underpinned by proven dexterity, creativity, and the efficient use of resources.
  • Solid experience of all stages of the project delivery.
  • Experience of engaging and managing third parties (vendors, consultants etc.).
  • Strong planning and control expertise.
  • Experience working with design team to deliver top user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).
  • Good to have experience delivering advance analytics, digital, automation and robotization project experience.
  • Good to have IT, automation & control system experience and training in similar fields.
Technical
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Experience with IoT platforms and device integration.
  • Proficiency in data platform technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka). Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Agile/Digital Experience
  • Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)
  • Deep experience leading with teams in an agile setting.
