Job Description: Product Owner Blockchain & DeFi

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner with a strong background in Blockchain, DeFi, and Layer-2 (L2) & Layer-3 (L3) scaling solutions to drive the development of our cutting-edge blockchain products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, tokenomics, and distributed systems. Experience with DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) and AI-driven blockchain applications is a strong plus.

As a Product Owner, you will work closely with engineering, product management, and business teams to define the product vision, translate complex blockchain concepts into clear product requirements, and ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap. This role requires a data-driven mindset, strategic thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Web3 environment.

Key Responsibilities

Blockchain & DeFi Product Leadership

Define and execute the product roadmap for blockchain-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.

Drive the development of DeFi applications, smart contract functionalities, tokenomics models, staking mechanisms, and yield strategies.

Leverage expertise in L2 (Optimistic Rollups, ZK-Rollups) and L3 solutions to optimize blockchain scalability and transaction efficiency.

Identify and integrate emerging blockchain technologies, such as DePIN networks and AI-enhanced blockchain automation.

Work closely with protocol engineers to design and refine decentralized exchange (DEX), lending, staking, and liquidity pooling features.

Requirement Gathering & Execution

Define clear and detailed product requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.

Translate complex blockchain concepts into actionable development plans for engineers and stakeholders.

Prioritize product backlog items based on business impact, feasibility, and market demand.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.

Ensure seamless integration of L2 and L3 scalability solutions with existing blockchain networks.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Act as the bridge between developers, business teams, and leadership, ensuring technical and business alignment.

Regularly communicate product updates, technical progress, and strategic decisions to stakeholders.

Gather feedback from users, developers, and partners to refine product functionality and improve the user experience.

Problem-Solving & Optimization

Proactively identify bottlenecks in blockchain transaction processing, smart contract execution, and network scalability.

Work with developers to resolve security vulnerabilities, gas fee inefficiencies, and interoperability challenges.

Implement robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies for DeFi operations and smart contract security.

Market & Competitive Analysis

Stay updated on blockchain, DeFi, and Web3 industry trends, ensuring our products remain competitive and innovative.

Analyze competitor products and suggest enhancements to improve the protocol efficiency, user experience, and adoption.

Monitor regulatory developments in the blockchain space to ensure compliance with evolving frameworks.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in the Blockchain, DeFi, or Web3 space.

Deep understanding of Layer-2 (L2) and Layer-3 (L3) scaling solutions, including Optimistic Rollups, ZK-Rollups, and modular blockchain architectures.

Strong knowledge of DeFi protocols, including DEXs, liquidity pools, lending platforms, staking mechanisms, and yield farming.

Experience with smart contracts (Solidity, Rust, or Move) and blockchain development frameworks.

Ability to design and optimize tokenomics models, governance mechanisms, and decentralized incentives.

Hands-on experience with DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) and AI-driven blockchain applications is a strong plus.

Expertise in Agile methodologies, JIRA, Trello, or similar product management tools.

Proven ability to work in highly technical environments and effectively communicate with engineers, developers, and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience in Web3 startups is a plus.

Preferred Skills

Experience launching blockchain-based products and working in fast-paced, innovative environments.

Knowledge of cross-chain interoperability protocols and bridging solutions.

Understanding of blockchain oracles, data indexing, and Web3 infrastructure.

Previous experience with NFTs, metaverse economies, or AI-driven blockchain automation.
