Our ambition is to establish UAE as a Wealth Hub for the region for HSBC with a multi-year investment over the next 5 years, serving the full client continuum. The investment will enable IWPB UAE to develop a competitive product suite, best-in-class digital offering and doubling the number of relationship managers and introducing investment counsellors and Foreign Exchange (FX) advisors. The Insurance Products team is tasked with the responsibility to develop an optimal range of products that can cater for changes in market and economic conditions. As a member of the MENAT Investments team, the jobholder will be responsible for supporting the development and distribution of Investments Products for WPB.

In this role, you will :

• Support in development of product, pricing and marketing strategy, including a coherent offering of Investment Products (Managed Solutions, Mutual Funds and Discretionary Wealth Management Services) to be able to fulfil customer needs and increase HSBC’s market share as well as Asset Under Management (AUM)
• Lead alignment of the Investments Proposition for IWPB in MENA region with group best practices
• Maintain a key focus on developing and collaborating with the brokerage business with the implementation of a digital platform for investments and addition of Passive Funds and other Mutual Funds relevant to the region
• Engagement and mobilization of key stakeholders across business and functions in order to deliver investment plan
• Investments proposition of IWPB is expected to grow at a significant pace and role holder is expected to be capable of being a crucial member of the present and growing business unit.
• Have the ability to identify and execute appropriate product strategies to enable rapid growth and success of the business

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements :

• Extensive and relevant experience across product development, sales, or marketing of wealth solutions, gained within top-tier retail banks, treasury divisions, or asset / fun management firms.
• Experience in coordinating investment products activities / sales / training / IT / financial planning in the wealth business
• Proven ability to drive results through effective performance management and a strong focus on outcomes
• Experience in both developing and developed markets
• Experience of identifying and successfully integrating product manufacturing
• Product Knowledge of Structured Products, Bonds, Equities, Fund of Funds, and Discretionary are preferable to perform this role
• Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
• Culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer needs
• Ability to take significant responsibilities in sales process, legal, compliance and system related issues
• Work closely with the respective country to develop, penetrate and distribute investment products to retail customers
• Work closely with all in-house manufactures and Third Parties for product development and delivery
• Strong leadership skills coupled with a high and demanding benchmark
• Able to operate effectively in a complex matrix driven environment
• Able to influence, engage and lead in a positive, inspiring manner
• A proven track record in investment sales preferable
• CFA qualification will be advantageous
• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
