The Product Director oversees the entire product lifecycle from ideation and conceptualization to launch and performance optimization. Working closely with the Senior Director of Product & Experiences, this role sets the strategic vision for product offerings, manages cross-functional collaboration among Product, Contracting, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to deliver innovative, profitable and sustainable travel experiences, and packages, ensuring that products align with market trends, customer needs, and organizational goals.
Job Scope:
- Define and manage the overall product strategy, roadmap, and KPIs in alignment with the company’s vision and revenue goals.
- Identify and champion product innovation opportunities (e.g., sustainability-focused products, experiential travel).
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new market segments, and potential product gaps.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the product team (Senior Product Managers and Product Managers), ensuring alignment, efficiency, and adoption of best practices in product management and agile methodologies.
- Work closely with the Contracting Director to ensure product feasibility, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to align go-to-market strategies, promotions, and product positioning with brand standards.
- Regularly report product performance, market shifts, and strategic initiatives to the Senior Director of Product & Experiences.
- Oversee end-to-end product development, ensuring timely launches and adherence to quality and brand standards.
- Collaborate with Pricing & Analytics to define profitable, competitive pricing structures that maximize revenue and market share.
- Implement and promote best practices in product management, fostering innovation and operational efficiency.
- Analyze product performance data and client feedback to drive continuous enhancements and launch new ideas.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, such as product revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and product launch timeliness.
- Communicate regular updates on product performance to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Initiate corrective actions or strategic pivots based on market insights and performance data.
- Oversee comprehensive market research to identify customer pain points, competitor benchmarks, and potential market opportunities.
- Integrate sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel guidelines into all product offerings.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and internal governance standards across the product lifecycle.
- Set product-level revenue and margin targets in coordination with Finance, tracking and optimizing performance.
- Drive profitability by optimizing cost structures, collaborating with Contracting on supplier negotiations, and adjusting the product mix based on analytics.

The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of senior-level experience in contracting or procurement within DMC, hospitality, or travel sectors.
- A proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Experience in creating and executing multi-year product strategies.
- A strong commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
- Demonstrated ability to launch and scale new product lines.
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong financial acumen, with P&L, ROI, and pricing dynamics expertise.
