Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior Manager for Product Development Costing in Abu Dhabi to own NRE and NPI cost tracking across drone programs, ensuring IAS 38 alignment and budget compliance. You will lead design-to-cost discipline with Engineering, partnering with FP&A, and manage a team of costing professionals to deliver accurate cost architectures for large UAV developments.

Qualifications

8–12 years cost accounting experience in NPI/R&D finance.
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA) with IAS 38 knowledge.
SAP CO experience with development orders and WBS settlement.
Engineering or technical degree background is advantageous.
Experience building cost architectures for large engineered systems (aerospace/defense).

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end financial tracking of all NRE and NPI costs across drone development programs.
Prepare cost business cases for each stage-gate (concept, PDR, CDR, production).
Drive design-to-cost discipline with Engineering; set, monitor and escalate stage-gate cost targets.
Lead month-end settlement of development orders in EBS/SAP CO.
Coordinate with FP&A to ensure costs feed into cash flow and project settlements.
Manage IAS 38 R&D cost capitalization and asset schedules.
Model cost structures for new manufacturing processes and automation investments.
Conduct make-vs-buy analyses for major subsystems.
Mentor costing analysts and build capability across the team.
Partner with Engineering leadership on development cost matters.
