Join Us as a Checkout Product Designer at Ounass:

At Ounass, we’re looking for a Product Designer to transform design choices into meaningful decisions that will drive better shopping experiences and performance across all platforms – including desktop web, mobile web and native mobile apps. You will work with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to identify, define, and design solutions to improve the customer experience and partner with development teams to create engaging solutions to drive business results.

The role is BASED IN DUBAI - role is onsite hybrid. Remote working is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create user-centered designs by considering market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to create user-focused concepts and solutions for desktop, mobile and native mobile app interfaces (iOS and Android).
• Create highly desired and user-centered designs by considering business goals, Product requirements, market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-through, and prototypes.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns for usability studies, front-end engineering, or internal discussion.
• Participate in and contribute to the planning process for new features and projects.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive products and experiences as well as trends and best practices.
• Maintain brand UI/UX guidelines including colors, icons, typographic specifications, graphic, photographic and motion concepts as well as other relevant elements to ensure consistent representation of the brand.
• Design excellent mobile apps or responsive web experiences including grids, typography, graphics, photography and icons.
• Simplify complex interaction problems and champion a user centered design methodology.
• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
• Keep abreast of new technology, design trends, emerging UI patterns and take an interest in data driven design.
• Help to support the MVT testing program and seek to drive incremental revenue wherever possible.
• Own and evolve the Design System: Figma libraries, tokens, automation, documentation, governance, and metrics.
• Scale AI adoption across the design org through tooling, process improvement, and evangelism.

Qualifications:

• Proven 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces and interactions. 2-3 years of E-commerce experience desirable.
• BA/BS degree in Design or any related field.
• Experience in using research and analytics to design.
• Demonstrated experience in creating flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and visual communication.
• Experience in applying best practices for mobile & web design, usability principles and techniques.
• Experience working with peers and cross-functional team members from inception through implementation phase.
• Experience that demonstrates the ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
• Relevant work experience of web and mobile architecture.
• Proven depth of experience in creating user-centered design solutions represented by a portfolio of work.
• Experience with working and preferably owning Design Systems.
• Proven experience applying AI to design workflows, with a strong interest in Design Ops.
