A leading company in the UAE is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing strategies and vendor negotiations. The role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and handling logistics operations. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in logistics and a relevant degree, ensuring effective supply chain management.
To join dynamic team and manage sourcing strategies, vendor negotiations, and international logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within logistics and international trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective procurement and sourcing strategies.
Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
Identify and build relationships with profitable suppliers.
Approve and finalize purchases, contracts, and deliveries.
Coordinate outbound logistics and manage shipment schedules.
Prepare export documentation (invoices, packing lists, delivery advice, etc.)
Track key procurement metrics to improve effectiveness and reduce costs.
Conduct contract reviews and ensure compliance.
Lead sourcing initiatives to drive cost-efficiency and improve supplier performance.
Use data analytics for decision-making and reporting to management.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
Monitor and manage supply chain risks.
Requirements & Skills:
Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist/Manager or similar role.
Minimum 5 years experience in a logistics company and in import/export operations.
Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and export documentation.
Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
Proficient in supplier management software and data analysis.
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
-Familiar with international procurement markets and practices.
