Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring procurement activities comply with organizational policies and budgetary requirements. The role focuses on achieving cost savings, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and issue RFQs/RFPs and evaluate vendor proposals.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with qualified suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) in line with approved PRs.
- Monitor and track procurement activities and delivery timelines.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations.
- Coordinate with end users to understand requirements and specifications.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support contract lifecycle management and renewals.
- Resolve issues related to deliveries, invoices, and vendor performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Additional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Contract Management (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Experience in general procurement and vendor management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across various locations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, tendering, and contract management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Understanding of cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and risk management.
Compliance & Legal Knowledge:
- Understanding of procurement policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of international and local sourcing practices.
