Role Overview
The Procurement Senior Analyst (or Lead) will be responsible for the full category management of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Contract Manufacturing, and Finished Goods. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive procurement efficiency, ensure compliance, and support business objectives through cost-effective and timely sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned categories: Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Contract Manufacturing, and Finished Goods.
- Monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure quality, service, and cost objectives are met.
- Lead RFP processes and vendor selection activities.
- Conduct strategic price negotiations and ensure competitive pricing aligned with business goals.
- Support innovation initiatives through supplier engagement and sourcing strategies.
- Provide input into budget planning and cost estimation for assigned categories.
- Drive and contribute to cost efficiency and process optimization initiatives.
- Track and achieve cost reduction targets across relevant procurement activities.
Procurement Operations & Administration:
- Manage Purchase Requisition (PR) submissions received through SAP and ensure timely conversion to Purchase Orders (PO).
- Ensure compliance with Procurement Policies, including competitive bidding processes.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations where items/services are not under contract.
- Execute contracts and monitor contract lifecycle, including renewals and retendering processes.
- Support resolution of invoice/payment discrepancies and coordinate with Finance as needed.
- Liaise with the clearance/logistics team to manage import documentation and demurrage claims.
- Handle supplier-related claims and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure audit-readiness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement with direct category experience from FMCG industry
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in negotiations.
- Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering within tight timelines.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on cost efficiency, process improvement, and value creation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
