About the Company:

We are a leading seafood company in the UAE seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in sourcing Chilled & Frozen seafood. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in working with seafood vendors and suppliers, particularly across Indian Sub - Continent and will play a crucial role in ensuring consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective procurement for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure frozen, chilled, and live seafood in line with company standards and customer requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable seafood vendors, especially across India and the wider region.
• Monitor supplier performance and negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of seafood to meet operational needs.
• Coordinate with internal teams (quality, logistics, sales) to ensure smooth operations.
• Track and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers and trends.
• Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and import documentation.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and contracts
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-8 years of procurement experience in the seafood industry.
• Proven expertise in sourcing frozen, chilled, and live seafood, with a strong vendor network in India.
• In-depth knowledge of seafood products, grading, quality standards, and seasonal availability.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.
