Procurement Officer - Schools/Educational Institutes

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and quality.
• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in line with school procurement policies.
• Track and manage the procurement of school supplies, uniforms, textbooks, technology, maintenance materials, and other goods.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and build a reliable vendor database.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet academic and administrative schedules.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory/store staff as needed.
• Work closely with various departments (academics, admin, facilities, etc.) to understand procurement needs.
• Review invoices and delivery notes to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Stay informed about market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budget limits, and relevant regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Procurement Buyer or in a purchasing role, preferably within the education sector or a similar institution.
• Knowledge of procurement software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with UAE/KSA/Middle East procurement regulations (if location-specific).
• Knowledge of school operational needs and seasonal purchasing cycles.
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Zoho.
