Job Description: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with extensive knowledge in local purchasing of electrical goods such as lighting and wiring devices. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and possess strong local knowledge of UAE traders, suppliers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies.
  2. Source and engage reliable suppliers.
  3. Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  4. Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
  5. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
  6. Approve purchase orders and organize delivery of goods and services.
  7. Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  8. Control procurement budgets and promote long-term cost savings.
  9. Oversee and manage software systems tracking shipments, inventory, and supply chain activities.
  10. Prepare procurement reports.
  11. Conduct stock aging analysis and develop action plans to manage stocks below the company's threshold.
  12. Ensure on-time delivery of all procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in purchasing products locally and internationally.
  • Proven experience in managing supply chain operations and procurement processes.
  • Experience with procurement software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract preparation, review, invoicing, and negotiation.
  • Excellent understanding of stock management principles.
