Job description

Job Title: Procurement Officer Middle East & Africa

Doka is currently seeking a Procurement Officer for the Middle East & Africa to join its versatile team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This position requires an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills and extensive experience in operational procurement.

The operational procurement function is one of the most critical areas in our business environment. As the Procurement Officer for Middle East & Africa, you will be responsible for all purchasing activities, including tactical and strategic procurement tasks, as well as administrative duties within the MEA region. The region includes the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, and some export markets in Africa.

You will report directly to the Team Leader – Operational Procurement Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle daily purchase requirements.
  2. Ensure compliance throughout the full P2P process according to Global PCM guidelines.
  3. Coordinate timely with internal and external stakeholders, adhering to procurement policies and processes.
  4. Align procurement activities with business goals and objectives.
  5. Work with stakeholders to assess demand and schedule procurement activities.
  6. Follow up on orders to expedite or reschedule deliveries as necessary.
  7. Conduct RFI/RFQ processes, compare options, and recommend the best solutions.
  8. Collaborate with strategic procurement teams to develop initiatives that reduce transaction costs, consolidate volume, and improve efficiency.
  9. Manage and resolve complaints and claims.
  10. Maintain and update the Master Database.
  11. Assist with new vendor registration and upload all relevant documentation into the system.
  12. Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Technical, commercial, or purchasing qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in operational procurement.
  • Experience in customer service/procurement, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Solid understanding of the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of SAP/R3-Ariba systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, positive attitude, and high energy.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge to recognize and identify similar products.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
