Job summary

A leading company in the marine sector is seeking a Procurement Specialist to handle Marine, oil & gas procurement. Responsibilities include sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills and experience in logistics and procurement processes, with a solid understanding of U.A.E ports and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in vendor negotiation and procurement.

Job description

Job Responsibility:

Creates and maintains good relationships with vendors/suppliers.

Responsible for all Marine, oil & gas procurement, either locally or internationally.

Check emails constantly, print MRs received from our offshore team or vessels, and keep track of enquiry receipts (requisitions), POs and deliveries and pending MRs.

Maintain professional email or verbal correspondence with our offshore team and vessels, and track their progress

Request offers from different suppliers by sending our enquiries.

Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers/vendors.

Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.

Prepare purchase orders and maintain records of PO, pricing, and other important data.

Maintain and update the list of approved suppliers.

Update and ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.

Assist in the development of internal procedures and documentation.

Leading and monitoring supplier relationships.

Providing procurement support as directed by the procurement manager.

Assist with internal procurement (administration needs).

Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.

Perform any task as instructed by management in line with the job nature.

Familiar with U.A.E ports’ portal, rules & regulations.

Good Knowledge & experience in MS office, MS outlook and Mac system operations.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Logistics & operations related jobs to be handled, Port Pass & Port NOC to be obtained, as and when needed.
