Job Title: Procurement Officer – Building Contracting

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer with experience in the building contracting industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for construction materials and services.
2. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure cost-efficient deals.
3. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
4. Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase orders.
5. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply chain issues.
6. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
8. Forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels efficiently.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement within a building contracting or construction firm.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplier networks.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement tasks.
6. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
7. Understanding of local laws and vendors.
