Job Description
- Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and timelines.
Prepare procurement schedules to ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for civil construction materials, equipment, and services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Material Sourcing: Source high-quality materials in compliance with project specifications and standards.
Conduct market research to identify cost-effective solutions and new suppliers.
- Contract Management: Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Quality Assurance: Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure materials meet required quality standards.
Handle non-conformance issues and facilitate the replacement or return of defective materials.
- Logistics and Delivery: Monitor the delivery schedule to ensure materials arrive on-site on time.
Coordinate with logistics teams to manage transportation and storage of materials.
- Cost Management: Track and control procurement expenses to remain within project budgets.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier data, purchase orders, and payment details.
Provide regular reports on procurement performance to project management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
Strong understanding of civil construction materials and market trends.
Knowledge of contract management and legal compliance in procurement.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Additional Requirements: Familiarity with local and international sourcing regulations.
Knowledge of ADNOC or other project-specific procurement standards is an advantage.
