Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods, materials, and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor negotiations, cost control, and ensuring the timely procurement of quality supplies while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and pricing with vendors.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to assess procurement needs.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier contracts, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Research market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
  • Resolve supply issues, delays, or disputes with vendors in a timely manner.
  • Prepare procurement reports and analyze spending to optimize purchasing decisions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement regulations, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze data, assess supplier risks, and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish long-term vendor relationships.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple procurement projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Understanding of procurement compliance, financial policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in documentation, pricing, and order processing.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and logistics teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, building materials, general trading, procurement.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and international supplier management.
  • Certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are a plus.
