Job Description

• Source, negotiate, and purchase building materials and services in line with project requirements and company standards.
• Manage the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery, ensuring materials are sourced and delivered as per project requirements and deadlines.
• Coordinate closely with Project Engineers to understand material requirements and procurement timelines, ensuring requests are planned and submitted before project execution.
• Identify and develop strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors specialized in building and construction materials.
• Negotiate best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules while maintaining material quality standards.
• Issue Purchase Orders strictly against approved requests and budgets; ensure all procurement transactions are documented and compliant with company policies.
• Monitor delivery schedules, follow up with vendors to ensure timely supply, and coordinate logistics to meet site deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, purchase history, and supplier performance.
• Prevent last-minute and unapproved purchases by enforcing a disciplined procurement process.
• Highlight any inconsistencies in material planning or misuse of procurement procedures to management.
• Support internal audits and assist in implementing corrective actions when procurement-related discrepancies are found.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years UAE experience in procurement within the contracting or construction industry.
• Proven experience in handling procurement of building materials for infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement planning, supplier evaluation, and delivery logistics.
• Excellent coordination skills with project teams and vendors.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict timelines and multiple project demands.
• Proficient in Excel, procurement softwares, and ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
