Procurement Manager / Sourcing Specialist (JAP Client)

Job purpose
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Procurement Manager/Sourcing Specialist with expertise in the beverage industry, specifically within the non-alcoholic soft drinks sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing both raw materials and machinery, with a deep understanding of procurement processes and vendor management in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Dubai and requires a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities include:

1. Lead and manage the sourcing and procurement activities for both raw materials and machinery required for the production of soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
3. Manage the negotiation of contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
4. Identify and evaluate new suppliers, sourcing opportunities, and innovative products to improve operational efficiency.
5. Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to ensure competitive advantage.
6. Coordinate with production and operations teams to align sourcing strategies with production requirements.
7. Oversee the procurement of machinery, equipment, and materials needed for the smooth operation of production lines.
8. Maintain up-to-date records of all procurement activities and supplier performance.
9. Ensure adherence to procurement budget, cost control, and savings goals.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, and quality assurance to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain performance.
11. Keep abreast of market developments and technological advancements in machinery and production equipment relevant to the beverage industry.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/sourcing within the beverage industry, with a focus on soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Proven experience in sourcing both raw materials and machinery/equipment for beverage production.
GCC region experience is essential, particularly within the UAE (Dubai).
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
In-depth understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages (Arabic) are a plus.
