Job description

Manage the procurement of Machinery/Equipment and Professional Services with focus on CapEx & OpEx, driving cost optimization, supplier engagement, compliance, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier negotiations and strategy for Machinery (CapEx & OpEx) and Professional Services
  • Conduct supplier assessments and develop performance KPIs
  • Undertake study of Machinery & Professional services spend categories / sub categories and develop category strategies
  • Drives cost containment / budget management through effective negotiation
  • Management of team and develop team skill set
  • Effective monitoring of contracts and implementation of the key contract clauses.
  • Work with team to develop departmental strategies
  • Manage project budgets & provide budgets to business for key sub categories
  • Ensure procurement policies are upto date and is followed by the team as per the DOA / SOA matrix
  • Ensure procurement compliances are followed and supports audits (internal / external)
  • Take up system & process improvement and projects to drive efficiency
  • Publish monthly MIS for the department / category
  • Analyze spend data and drive category strategies
  • Manage budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Lead and mentor procurement team; build departmental capabilities Monitor and enforce contract terms and critical clauses
  • Ensure policy compliance per DOA/SOA; support internal and external audits Initiate process improvements and digitalization
  • Publish regular MIS reports and drive insights

Experience Required:

  • 8-10 years in procurement, particularly with Machinery and Professional Services

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Statistics.
  • MBA in Operations/Supply Chain from a premier Indian institute
