Job summary

International Community Schools (ICS) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Manager to oversee and streamline procurement across our group of schools. You will develop procurement strategies, manage vendor relationships, ensure regulatory compliance and achieve cost-effective purchasing outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have education-sector procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5-10 years of procurement experience, preferably in a school environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with UAE procurement regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities across ICS group of schools.
• Handle procurement of educational materials, classroom supplies, technology, furniture and facility-related items.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing process and ensure timely delivery.
• Source reliable vendors and negotiate contracts for best value.
• Collaborate with Finance to monitor budgets and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and local regulations.
• Maintain records of purchases, supplier agreements and documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery or pricing.
• Work with school leaders, teachers and staff to meet operational needs and anticipate term requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices.
• Regularly review market trends to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Develop procurement strategies and implement Tender procedures aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.

510 years of procurement experience preferably in a school environment.

Strong negotiation communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with educational supplies facility management needs and vendor contracts.

Knowledge of UAE procurement regulations are plus.
