We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and resourceful Procurement Manager with a strong understanding of the FMCG and confectionery industry. The ideal candidate will have a fire in the belly to deliver results, lead cost-saving initiatives, and build strong supplier networks for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, especially with the Quality, R&D, and Private Label clients to ensure timely, cost-effective, and specification-aligned procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both local and international vendors; identify and onboard new reliable suppliers.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and QA to ensure technical specifications.
  • Drive cost effective sourcing strategies without compromising quality.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials in alignment with production schedules and avoid stockouts.
  • Lead cost negotiations to achieve maximum value without compromising on quality or service.
  • Analyze and interpret market trends to forecast material availability, risks, and pricing fluctuations.
  • Monitor vendor performance, adherence to SLAs, and compliance with contracts and specifications.
  • Optimize packaging procurement, leveraging innovative and sustainable solutions that align with brand and client expectations.
  • Work closely with finance and operations for budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure direct buying of ingredients from origin sources, wherever feasible, to gain cost advantages.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Support NPDs from procurement side.
  • Engage with Private Label clients to understand their specific sourcing and vendor compliance needs and translate them into procurement actions.
  • Maintain procurement records, contracts, and compliance logs.

Qualifications
