Job description

Job Purpose

Procurement Manager (Aircraft) manages the acquisition of goods and/or services in collaboration with the business/user department, contributing process orientation and commercial expertise. Acts as the interface between Emirates and high-value suppliers, facilitating cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and Supplier Selection: Formulate sourcing plans, negotiate strategies, identify and evaluate suppliers to meet Emirates requirements, minimizing costs and risks.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish strong relationships, develop supplier assessments, and address performance shortfalls.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support stakeholders in procurement initiatives, monitor costs, ensure compliance.
  • Process and Procedure: Ensure alignment with policies, review and improve processes, lead performance management, and meet SLAs.

Portfolio: Aircraft

  • Lease Negotiations: Act as Engineering Focal for lease reviews and negotiations, coordinate with Fleet Planning.
  • Lease Management: Manage contractual obligations, maintain lease database, communicate changes.
  • Aircraft Redeliveries and End-of-Lease Management: Oversee end-of-lease processes, negotiations, and compliance.
  • Aircraft Disposal: Manage aircraft disposals, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Contracting: Draft and negotiate contracts, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8 years in Procurement, Aircraft, or Supply Chain Management.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Degree in Business or Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical preferred).
  • Experience in Airlines, OEMs, or Maintenance Organizations.
  • Knowledge of supplier performance management, airline engineering, project management, market benchmarking, and aviation regulations.
