Job Description

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team based in Dubai and oversee the procurement operation of the United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of services, plant and material.

  1. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  2. Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  3. Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities
  4. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
  5. Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs
  7. Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to payment
  8. Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and vendors
  9. Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and risk management strategies
  10. Utilize procurement software and ERP systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  11. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement
  12. Prepare and present procurement performance reports to senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, preferably in major infrastructure or transportation projects
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, processes, and best practices
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and vendor management
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
  • Strong decision-making abilities and capacity to analyze complex situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and practices
  • Experience in metro or mass transit projects is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
