As the Procurement and Planning Manager, the role will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing the infrastructure for negotiating and liaising with local and international suppliers/vendors, ensuring optimum levels of stocks and services for business continuity.

The main objective for the first year is to develop robust procurement sourcing strategies that are cost-effective and advantageous, ensuring long-term success and demonstrating cost savings by year-end to support overall operational profitability.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and lead the Procurement and Demand Planning team to ensure an efficient and responsive procurement strategy supporting business and stakeholder needs.
  • Create and implement all related S&OPs for the Procurement and Demand Planning Department, involving internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing suppliers and vendors; establish new relationships with reliable suppliers to add value to products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with the Category Management team to obtain the best prices and trade deals through negotiations with assigned suppliers.
  • Ensure competitive pricing, trade discounts, delivery schedules, and SLAs are agreed upon with key suppliers to facilitate cost-effective operations.
  • Analyze and monitor sales records, market trends, weather/seasons, and economic conditions to forecast consumer buying patterns and determine inventory efficiency.
  • Work with the Category Management and Sales teams to gather information about customer needs and preferences, creating optimal stock level plans to avoid excess or shortages and maintaining ideal stock levels at all times.
  • Manage and review forecasts monthly; monitor stock levels to ensure they are optimal; oversee stock aging and escalate issues as needed.
  • Conduct robust demand and supply reviews with stakeholders, incorporating product lifecycle plans.
  • Review and analyze inventory and profitability reports on daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly bases.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned by the General Manager to meet business needs.
