About the Role
The Procurement Manager oversees the procurement and contract management of fuel suppliers and ground handling agents, ensuring cost efficiency, service quality, and regulatory compliance. He supports commercial and operations teams with accurate trip cost estimates, supplier negotiations, and risk mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities
Personal Attributes and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in aviation procurement, supplier management, or fuel and ground handling services.
Native English speaker with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong understanding of supplier inspection and evaluation processes.
Experience in contract negotiations, cost estimation, and risk mitigation in the aviation industry.
Knowledge of aviation fuel taxation, pricing mechanisms, and economic factors affecting procurement.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure aviation environments.
Experience in regulatory compliance for aviation procurement and supplier assessment.
Proven knowledge and strategy in closing supplier deals and managing disputes effectively.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
