  1. Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations, ensuring favorable, compliant, and beneficial contracts.
  2. Collaborate with departments such as finance, operations, and legal to ensure cohesive procurement processes.
  3. Monitor market trends and supplier performance, adjusting strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  4. Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  5. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  6. Prepare and present procurement reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting achievements and future strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Experience in diverse industries, preferably from an EPC background, with procurement of goods and services across Africa.
  2. Proven experience in executing procurement for medium to large-scale government-funded projects (~$20-70 million USD), with extensive vendor dealings across geographies.
  3. Experience in procuring educational equipment and machinery is preferred.
  4. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s degree is advantageous.
  5. Minimum 12 years of international procurement experience.
  6. Strong skills in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex data and market trends for informed procurement decisions.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and stakeholders.
