Job description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for food and non-food items aligned with business needs. Identify savings opportunities and sourcing improvements.
  • Oversee procurement categories including food, beverages, disposables, and catering equipment. Optimize sourcing by understanding category-specific trends and supplier markets.
  • Oversee end-to-end purchasing operations, including order processing, vendor coordination, sea freight planning, and documentation. Provide data for budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Manage supplier selection, quotation process, evaluation, and negotiation. Maintain supplier database and vendor relationships for food and non-food categories.
  • Supervise purchasing team, assign tasks, balance workload, and conduct appraisals. Ensure timely execution of procurement duties.
  • Coordinate with internal requesters and external clients to understand requirements, specifications, and delivery expectations. Ensure timely procurement and fulfillment of client orders, handle escalations, and maintain high service levels that support customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Maintain and update the company ERP procurement module for accuracy, transparency, and operational tracking.
  • Administer and maintain accurate records of procurement KPIs. Consolidate monthly performance data, document key activities, and generate reports to support departmental reviews, reporting, and audits. Ensure proper documentation of the procurement process, supplier evaluations, and compliance evidence.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with company GC IMS and food legal regulations.
  • Ensure all procurement activities (including delivery handling and logistics) are conducted in accordance with company GC Health and Safety Management System.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks (e.g., supply chain disruption, non-compliant suppliers, quality failures).
  • Promote continuous learning by enhancing personal knowledge and supporting the development of the procurement team through training, coaching, and skill-building initiatives.
