Job summary

NALCO An Ecolab Company is seeking a Procurement Intern to support the development and execution of the IMEA toll manufacturing procurement strategy across the region. You will help drive cost savings, supplier optimization, sourcing initiatives, and governance activities in a regional network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
• Basic experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, procurement systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a regional, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the IMEA toll manufacturing procurement strategy
• Lead toll manufacturer consolidation initiatives to optimize the supplier base and leverage regional spend
• Identify and implement raw material and packaging optimization opportunities to deliver cost savings and operational efficiencies
• Conduct regular price reviews, validations, and approval processes to ensure pricing competitiveness and compliance
• Collaborate with toll manufacturing partners to identify, evaluate, and qualify alternative raw material sources that improve cost competitiveness and supply security
• Provide sourcing recommendations and guidance on procurement channels including third-party suppliers and intercompany sourcing options
• Partner with the Regional Tolling Manager to develop and execute strategic sourcing projects, cost-reduction initiatives, and supply continuity plans
• Monitor supplier performance, support contract compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the toll manufacturing network
• Support supplier negotiations, contract renewals, and governance activities to ensure alignment with procurement policies and business requirements
• Build strong relationships with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Finance teams to support business objectives

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic level of experience/knowledge in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
• Basic experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, procurement systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a regional, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in contract/toll manufacturing procurement within the chemical, industrial, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors.
• Knowledge of sourcing, supplier consolidation, and should-cost analysis.
• Experience working across multiple countries within the IMEA region.
• Professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
