Procurement Executive for Pharmaceutical products Metromed

Metromed, part of Mazrui International - Trading division is looking for an experienced and dynamic Procurement Executive for the Procurement of Pharmaceutical products.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
2. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
3. Creation of item codes for new items in oracle system, amendment and closing of POs for bar-coding requirement.
4. Prepares Claims from Insurance/Shipper for any damages.
5. Prepare calculations sheet for LPO based and orders for approval of Division Head.
6. Follow-up with suppliers on order status, shipping documents, estimated time of arrival on ports and ensuring the completion of documents required for clearing.
7. Communicate with supplier on the issuance of credit memos for the lacking units received, damaged items during shipment and items which does not meet the requirement for distribution in UAE (unclear printing of labels, lacking information in the product).
8. Coordination with regulatory affairs department - MOH, DM and ESMA for pharmaceutical procurement.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Must have 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or supply chain management.
3. Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
4. Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, including cold chain logistics.
5. Awareness of regulatory requirements (MOH & DHA & DM) for pharmaceutical procurement.
6. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, including drug safety and quality standards.
7. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
