Job description

As Procurement Executive few key areas that you would be responsible for are:

International Procurement:

Source, negotiate, and procure mechanical engineering components from global suppliers, ensuring alignment with project timelines and cost constraints.

Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, including those providing essential products like steel wire ropes, synthetic mooring ropes, and lifting accessories.

Stay up-to-date with global market trends, pricing, and shipping logistics to optimize procurement processes.

Supplier Management:

Identify, assess, and onboard new international suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality materials.

Manage long-term partnerships with global suppliers such as Kiswire, Crosby, and Dong Yang for continuous supply of marine and construction solutions.

Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier performance, focusing on cost reduction and enhanced delivery timelines.

Contract Negotiation and Compliance:

Negotiate procurement contracts, ensuring the best possible terms in terms of pricing, quality, and delivery.

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and company policies.

Inventory Management and Forecasting·

Work closely with the operations and project management teams to forecast product demand and manage inventory levels.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet operational needs, minimizing delays and stock shortages.

Cost Optimization:

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in procurement activities.

Collaborate with the finance team to track budgets and maintain cost-effectiveness in purchasing decisions.

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international procurement within the mechanical engineering, marine, or construction sectors.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering products, including lifting accessories, ropes, chains, and other related components.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft AX or similar ERP systems for purchase order management and invoicing.

Familiarity with global procurement processes and international shipping logistics.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct market research and utilize data for forecasting and inventory planning.
