Job summary

Caliberly in Dubai seeks a seasoned procurement professional to lead cost-effective procurement strategies and supplier development across multiple geographies. You will negotiate terms, manage POs through shipment, and optimize inventory and reporting processes in a manufacturing context.

The role requires 8–12 years in procurement with multi-geography exposure and a strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Graduate / BBA / MBA in Material Management or Supply Chain.
• 8–12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain in industrial/manufacturing goods.
• Multi-geography experience across Africa, China and India.
• Strong vendor development and negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement cost-effective procurement strategies with agility for market changes.
• Develop, build and foster a network of vendors/suppliers.
• Negotiate favourable terms and ensure timely supplies.
• Execute and follow up on POs to shipment.
• Manage systems tracking shipment, inventory and materials supply.
• Prepare daily to monthly procurement reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental rules.

Job description

• Create and implement strategies for procurement that are cost effective, agile to suit market changes and with a quick turnaround time
• Ensuring to develop, build and foster a network of vendors/ suppliers
• Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to get favourable terms, timely supplies
• Execution and follow up of the PO placed to the point of shipment.
• Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
• Partner with Commercial and Operations to contribute to Bids and Tenders
• Contract management and conducting assessment of suppliers
• Sourcing from Africa locally, China and India. Primarily for yellow goods plant and machinery, project purchases and process plants
• Keep abreast of changing industry trends

Education & Experience

• Graduate / BBA / MBA in Material Management or Supply Chain
• 8 - 12 years of experience in a similar role in Industrial and Manufacturing Goods
• Has worked in procurement and supply chain management
• Handled Multi geography
