About Your Team

You’ll work closely with the design, production, and project teams, as well as vendors and suppliers. This role supports procurement operations across joinery production and project execution, ensuring a seamless flow of materials while upholding cost-efficiency and quality.

Your Role

As a Procurement Engineer – Jr., your responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and selecting suppliers for timber, hardware, finishes, and other joinery-related materials
• Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement
• Raising and managing purchase orders aligned with production and project schedules
• Coordinating with design, production, and project teams to understand material needs and timelines
• Monitoring inventory levels and supporting stores in maintaining optimal stock levels
• Tracking deliveries and resolving issues related to delays, shortages, or damaged goods
• Maintaining an approved supplier list and evaluating vendor performance
• Ensuring all purchased materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Keeping accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audits and compliance
• Staying informed on market trends and proposing cost- or quality-efficient alternatives
• Undertaking any additional duties as assigned by your manager, aligned with business needs

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Background in a manufacturing or joinery environment (desirable)

Knowledge

• Procurement and sourcing best practices
• Joinery-related materials and hardware
