Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Engineer – Global Sourcing Specialist to join our team. This role requires deep knowledge of global markets and the ability to identify, evaluate, and source high-quality construction materials and fit-out products from leading brands worldwide. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in markets such as China, Turkey, and Egypt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of global brands and suppliers in the construction and fit-out materials industry.
  • Identify competitive and reliable brands, especially from China, Turkey, Egypt, and other emerging global markets.
  • Source materials by collecting and evaluating quotations, catalogs, and samples to ensure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery time.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet project timelines and budget requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage risks related to product quality, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with the design, engineering, and project teams to understand material specifications and procurement needs.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, innovations, and alternative sourcing options to gain a competitive edge.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or global sourcing, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
  • Proven experience in sourcing from China, Turkey, and Egypt.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, procurement software, and international trade regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Multilingual capabilities (English, Mandarin, Turkish, or Arabic) are a strong plus.
