Great Opportunity to join this company at a crucial time to take the procurement function to the next level in this new role as Procurement Director reporting in to the board. You will be looking for an opportunity to create a world class procurement function and will be able to set a vision, engage with stakeholders and then deliver through implementation. The Procurement Director will be responsible for managing the Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics and Operational Planning functions across people, processes and technology. The Procurement Director will play a key part in the current and continued success of the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess the current structure and set the strategic direction for all procurement activity in line with key business objectives.
2. Manage strategic and operational activity to exceed key performance targets in line with group standards.
3. Work with the commercial team to reduce contract/supplier risk.
4. Develop a strategic global sourcing and supply chain programme.
5. Establish category objectives, sourcing strategies and supplier objectives that support the business plan to ensure a best in class supply chain performance.
6. Ensure that all procurement staff are motivated and developed.

To be considered you will be a senior procurement leader with a broad supply chain background able to set strategy, influence and deliver. Experience of Middle East Procurement is a must.
