Job Description

Head of Procurement / Senior Procurement Manager based in the UAE, with a proven track record in design & build building projects. You will understand strategy, client relationships, and project delivery. The role requires hands-on leadership to develop the procurement team, from buyers to senior engineers, with strong relationships and knowledge of Lump Sum projects across various sectors.

The client seeks someone with a clear UAE track record and network for this critical hire. Experience managing teams of 15-50 staff in both HQ and project sites is essential. You should possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and awareness to manage a diverse, multinational team. This is a long-term career opportunity.

Role Details

• Based in Dubai Head Office, 20 minutes from DXB Airport
• Leading the procurement department
• Managing pre-construction and post-contract activities
• Handling vendors across materials, subcontractors, and others
• Collaborating with the supply chain to create win-win solutions
• Working with department heads from Contracts, Operations, and Estimation, reporting directly to the CEO
• Fostering a culture of fairness and strong relationships with suppliers and clients

Critical Factors

• Minimum 6 years of procurement experience in the MENA region with main contractors
• At least 10 years of procurement experience handling building projects
• Post-graduate experience of 15 years
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying preferred
• CIPS, CPP, or CPIM certifications desirable but not mandatory
• Strong management, communication, and presentation skills, clearly demonstrated in your introduction to NSR Associates
