Job description

1.1. Source and evaluate vendors for vehicle fabrication, branding and accessories, obtaining competitive quotes and negotiation favourable terms.

1.2. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with existing and new suppliers.

1.3. Ensure all procured items meet quality standards and specifications.

2. Vehicle Acquisitions:

2.1. Liaise directly with vehicle dealerships to obtain new vehicle pricing, negotiate purchase terms, and secure optimal deals.

2.2. Collect and analyse monthly pricing information from various dealerships and market sources.

3. Market Research and Analysis:

3.1. Stay current with automotive market trends, new vehicle releases, and technological advancements.

3.2. Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in fleet procurement.

4. Administrative & Reporting

4.1. Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including quotes, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.

4.2. Prepare regular reports of all procurement performance, cost analysis and market insights

4.3. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, sales operations) to ensure seamless procurement processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within fleet management or a related automotive field.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with a tract record of securing favourable agreements.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to assess pricing, market data and vendor performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of vehicle specifications, modifications and the automotive industry in general is a significant advantage.
