The Procurement Contracts Officer will be responsible for the preparation, management, and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with various departments to negotiate, review, and finalise contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, negotiate, review, and finalise contracts with vendors, suppliers, and partners.
- Ensure all contracts comply with organisational policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and maintain clear communication with suppliers.
- Track the status of open orders and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely closure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand contract requirements and ensure compliance throughout the organisation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manage contracts, and monitor compliance.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, track performance, and keep detailed records.
- Ensure all contracting activities adhere to internal policies, relevant legislation, and regulatory standards.
Experience, Education and Skills
Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar role in the real estate sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract management within a procurement function.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Contract Management Certification from a recognised institution is desirable.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of contract management tools and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with procurement systems such as MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or other e-procurement platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, track procurement metrics, and generate accurate reports.
