Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Process Engineering or related roles.
• Experience in aerospace, UAV, aviation, defense, or similar complex manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of tooling, jig, and fixture design or management.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality principles applied to manufacturing and process control.
• Familiarity with calibration management and tooling control is an advantage.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Align production processes and capacity between Planning and Assembly.
• Collaborate with Material and Production Planners to ensure shop-floor feasibility.
• Identify production bottlenecks and inefficiencies; propose improvements.
• Improve production flow, throughput, and cycle time with practical solutions.
• Coordinate with R&D and Engineering to translate product requirements into production processes.
• Support Assembly in resolving day-to-day technical and process challenges.
• Design and manage production tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure tooling availability and fit-for-production status.
• Maintain tooling records, traceability, and checkout/check-in controls.
• Coordinate tooling calibration schedules and ensure calibration compliance.
• Support good tooling-management practices and FOD prevention.
• Collaborate with tooling suppliers to develop/improve solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement across assembly processes and production flow.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma and root-cause problem-solving methods.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and waste.
• Analyze process performance and implement corrective actions.
• Standardize improved processes for repeatability and quality.
• Support readiness ahead of production launches and ramp-ups.
• Ensure tooling and fixtures are ready before production begins.
• Support new product introduction and ramp-up activities.
• Work with shop-floor teams to validate processes and improvements.
