Private Family Chef (Live-In)

Job Overview:

A private family is seeking a skilled and experienced chef to prepare meals and manage kitchen operations in their home. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with private families in the UAE or GCC, with a strong knowledge of various cuisines, including Indian, Italian, American, and other Continental dishes. This is a live-in position with accommodation provided inside the employer’s villa.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals in the private home according to the family's preferences and dietary needs, including handling all meals for the family and potentially other household staff.
• Organize and maintain kitchen cleanliness, including cooking utensils, cookware, and food storage.
• Shop for or order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Serve meals and snacks to family members and their guests.
• Plan and create menus, considering dietary restrictions and special occasions such as parties, holidays, and social events.
• Handle the preparation of vegetables, meats, and other ingredients, including peeling, washing, and trimming.
• Oversee the overall organization and operation of the kitchen and food-related activities.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
• Experience in preparing Indian, Italian, American, and Continental dishes.
• Previous experience working with an Emirati family or in an Arabic/Emirati cuisine restaurant is an advantage.
• Prior work experience in the GCC region is preferred.
• Must be committed to a live-in role, as the position differs from working in a restaurant or hotel environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in private homes, especially in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of a variety of international cuisines.
• Ability to follow recipes and adjust for specific family preferences.
• Well-organized and capable of managing kitchen operations independently.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary between 3000-4000 AED per month.
• Accommodation provided inside the employer’s villa.
• One day off per week.

• Other benefits as per UAE Labor law.

Additional Notes:

• Only candidates based in the UAE and willing to go through a trial period will be considered. The employer will cover the cost of the trial.
• The candidate must be comfortable with the live-in nature of the position.
