POSITION

Private Chef - Specialty Chef

LOCATION

Fujairah, UAE

The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The specialty chefs have a real passion for food and possess extensive knowledge. They stay ahead of trends and food styles, love creating new dishes, and constantly aim to exceed expectations.

The specialty chef has mastered the culinary arts in either Western or Middle Eastern cuisine.

QUALIFICATIONS / LICENSES / SKILLS

• 4-year culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training - MANDATORY

• Level 3 - Food Hygiene & Safety (Supervisors)

• Level 2 – Allergy Awareness

• Level 2 – HACCP

• Safe Chemical Handling

• Fluent in English

EXPERIENCE

  • Private chef experience in a VVIP household preferred
  • Experience in a 5* hotel, high-level restaurant, Michelin-starred restaurant, or private residence - MANDATORY
  • International living and working experience - MANDATORY
  • Experience working in teams with more than 6 chefs, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

DUTIES

• Broad knowledge of various cuisines – Western or Middle Eastern

• Strong understanding of cooking philosophies and principles

• Exceptional creativity and presentation skills

• Ensure the quality of raw and cooked food products meets standards

• Advanced HACCP certification

• Introduce and present new trial dishes

• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for compliance

• Create decorative food displays for events and functions

• Maintain recipe books, guest preferences, and operational data

• Advanced menu planning, collaborating with other chefs to develop recipes and menus considering seasonal ingredients

• Communicate effectively with F&B service staff about dishes

• Demonstrate new cooking techniques to junior chefs

• Coordinate equipment purchases or repairs

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
