Job description

The Investment Manager is a primary point of contact for clients to access the entire suite of investment capabilities, insights, and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This role involves working closely with the Relationship Manager for daily planning and client servicing.

The individual leverages the expertise of the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Chief Investment Office and investment committees to advise on long-term thematic investments, tactical trades, and asset allocation. The Investment Manager employs a broad range of asset classes, including lending, financing, deposits, portfolio management solutions, capital markets, private markets, alternative investments, and wealth planning. The role includes accountability for total investment AUM, revenue, asset retention, and contributing to business goals.

Your key responsibilities :
  • Serve as the central contact for clients’ investment needs and advice, aiming to increase wallet share.
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager to serve clients within a defined portfolio.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on clients’ investment portfolios, overseeing portfolio construction and asset allocation, and delivering CIO insights.
  • Assess and update clients’ risk profiles regularly.
  • Execute investment trades and conduct portfolio reviews, identifying gaps and opportunities.
  • Ensure all investments are suitable and appropriate, performing necessary checks.
  • Collaborate on account management, KYC processes, and with internal partners to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Identify opportunities across capital markets, discretionary and advisory mandates, and alternative investments.
  • Manage and control investment risks while maximizing returns within regulatory frameworks.
  • Support regional strategy execution, including expanding the South Asia footprint.
  • Monitor and rebalance client asset allocations based on CIO views.
  • Assist in client acquisition by participating in pitches and demonstrating capabilities.
  • Operate within legal, ethical, and compliance guidelines, managing reputational risks.
Your skills and experience :
  • At least 8 years of relevant investment experience, with a minimum of 5 years in wealth management.
  • Proven portfolio construction and asset allocation expertise, understanding private clients and UHNW needs.
  • Experience managing multi-asset portfolios across traditional and alternative assets.
  • Ability to articulate capital market outlooks from top-down and bottom-up perspectives.
  • Comfort leading investment discussions in various settings.
  • Track record of building client relationships and attracting assets.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, confidentiality, and cross-border rules.
  • Existing client relationships are a plus.
  • Strong investment knowledge across asset classes, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, professional integrity.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of mentoring staff.
  • CFA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree is advantageous.
