Role Context

The role supports daily sheetfed printing activities from machine preparation through production completion. Accurate material handling, clean equipment, and early detection of print defects will help reduce waste, protect production schedules, and maintain consistent output quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sheetfed printing machines according to approved job specifications.
• Verify printing plates, paper dimensions, ink type, and job order details before production.
• Assist with basic press calibration and setup under the direction of an experienced operator.
• Collect and stage the required paper, inks, plates, and related consumables.
• Compare prepared materials with production instructions to prevent specification errors.
• Feed paper during press runs while observing machine performance and material flow.
• Watch for misprints, registration problems, alignment faults, and other visible defects.
• Keep the press and surrounding production area clean and properly organized.
• Support scheduled preventive maintenance and report unusual machine conditions.
• Return unused materials to the correct storage areas and follow safe handling procedures.
• Record material usage or production observations when required by the supervisor.
• Follow printing plant safety, quality, and waste-control practices throughout each assignment.
