Job description
Overview

Job Purpose: PE in Mechanical : HVAC and refrigeration or Thermal and Fluid Systems. Guide the development, implementation and execution of engineering programs as well as ensure governance, oversight, and control of these programs in place to support safe and reliable Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) operation.

Responsibilities
  • Provides governance and oversight of the CRH Program.
  • Provides technical support regarding CRH Program for all units.
  • Interfaces with industry on CRH issues.
  • Maintains the CRH Program per applicable program plan.
  • Performs the technical, schedule, and cost activities associated with the CRH Program.
  • Monitors heat exchanger performance through using the appropriate efficiency and effectiveness methods.
  • Ensures the development and maintenance of the Heat Exchanger Program.
  • Optimizes required activities and their frequencies on each in-scope heat exchanger (HX) through trending inspection/test data to maintain heat exchanger’s integrity.
  • Provides technical guidance to the design changes or temporary modifications that will influence equipment under the program scope.
  • Reviews PM Change for inspection and testing.
Engineering Program Development
  • Guide the development of engineering programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and licensing basis to support safe and reliable operation of BNPP.
  • Guide the development of the engineering, operational, inspection, and maintenance actions that control the effects of physical degradation of components to optimize length of service.
  • Develop long-term plans for engineering programs, as well as policies, processes, procedures, guidelines, and activities related to equipment performance management or issues at BNPP.
  • Lead the implementation of adjustments to engineering program documents and procedures to verify BNPP objectives and unique conditions are met.
  • Guide the development of software tools to support engineering programs and verify input baseline data in related databases for data security and governance.
  • Liaise with the review of the corresponding programs for the reference plant, Shin Kori Units 3&4, to ensure alignment with BNPP objectives.
  • Lead the development of engineering program procedures, processes and guidelines to ensure Maintenance and Operations personnel have clear references for safe and proper execution.

Qualifications
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering).
  • Experience: Recommended more than 8 years.
  • Certifications: APPU-ENG-IT-QC2005-PROG.
