Job summary

Morona in Dubai is seeking a senior platform architect to own the end-to-end architecture of our fintech platform, spanning payments, Open Banking, identity, data, AI, and mobile apps. You will shape service boundaries, APIs, and integration standards to ensure a secure, scalable system.

You will review code, drive architectural decisions, and mentor teams while navigating regulatory constraints and resilience requirements. Remote-friendly role with a Dubai office option.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering
• 5+ years architecting distributed platforms in financial services
• End-to-end architecture of a production financial platform spanning several domains
• Deep event-driven and distributed-systems design
• Security, resilience and regulatory constraints designed in
• Hands-on: reviews code and prototypes
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

About Morona

Morona is building an independent financial intelligence layer across a customer’s bank accounts. With the customer’s consent, Morona connects their accounts, understands their whole financial picture and, with their permission, acts on it: a card designed to pay from their connected bank accounts, transfers between accounts, and AI guidance grounded in their real financial data.

We are a Saudi fintech building for Saudi Arabia’s regulated payments environment, with an office in Dubai. We are hiring the team that will build the Morona platform from the ground up.

The role

You will own the end-to-end architecture of Morona’s platform: making payments, Open Banking, identity, financial data, AI and our mobile apps work as one secure, resilient system.
