Volantes Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Principal Network Architecture Engineer in Dubai, UAE, to lead the architecture, security and resilience of networks connecting aircraft, ground stations and control centres.

The role focuses on owning design, implementing Zero Trust, secure segmentation and audit evidence for accreditation in a high-stakes aviation programme. On-site, permanent position based in Dubai.

• Experience in designing and operating complex networks.

• Experience implementing Zero Trust and identity-based access controls.

Principal Network Architecture Engineer

Volantes Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Principal Network Architecture Engineer for a confidential, next-generation aviation programme based in Dubai.

This is a senior engineering position responsible for the architecture, security and resilience of operational networks connecting aircraft, ground stations and control centres.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop network architecture for complex operational systems, from design through to live deployment.

• Lead IP transport and network infrastructure design.

• Define secure network segmentation and traffic isolation in line with security and regulatory requirements.

• Implement Zero Trust principles and identity-based access controls.

• Design resilient network architectures, including redundancy and failover.

• Ensure network security aligns with externally defined security policies.

• Support security accreditation and provide evidence for audits and assurance activities.

• Establish configuration control and network drift detection.

• Manage operational network changes and support incident response.

• Ensure network architecture supports secure and reliable communication across operational environments.

Essential Requirements

• Significant experience in network architecture and engineering.

• Proven ownership of network architectures implemented and taken into live operational use.

• Strong experience in IP transport and network design.

• Practical experience implementing Zero Trust and identity-based access.

• Strong understanding of network resilience and failover.

• Experience with security accreditation, audit evidence and compliance.
