Principal Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead a team of engineers and designers in carrying out detailed engineering work for large-sized projects or proposals, assuming entire responsibility for the detailed design.
2. Provide necessary technical information and support for procurement of all Rotating Equipment and related packages in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets.
3. Adhere to cost/budgeted man-hour and project schedules. Determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives.
4. Apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses within the discipline to serve as a technical specialist when required.
5. Possess in-depth technical knowledge of at least three of the following Rotating Equipment/Packages: Centrifugal pumps, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors, Screw Compressors, Gas Turbines, Utility Packages (Instrument Air, Nitrogen generation, Steam Generators), Water Treatment Packages, Refrigeration Packages.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum of 18 years of detail design engineering related experience, preferably from a background in consultancy organizations or EPC for the petrochemical or Oil and Gas Industry. Possess good knowledge of relevant API codes and standards.
3. Ability to grasp other international standards as demanded by work.
